RAINMAKER, a Central N.J. based rock band, is reforming after a five year hiatus. The present lineup consists of guitar/vocalist, bass and drums. We are seeking two additional guitarists who can cover both lead and rhythm. Ages: Late 20's to mid 30's preferred. Keyboardists will also be considered. Strong vocal abilities (harmony, some lead) are preferred. Well-developed musicianship, resourcefulness, professional equipment and attitude are a must. Looking for solid musicans who are experienced and comfortable with their abilities. A tasteful sound and technique is preferred. Classic/modern hard rock style desired - no 80's style metalheads, please! OTHER: We are considering adding female vocals once lineup of musicians is complete. Plans include gigging and possible recording down the road. Repertoire to include original material (see below) as well as a solid list of cover material drawn from classic and hard rock from the 70's/80's/90's and today. If you have a desire to make good music, perform live, work hard and have fun doing it, this might be the gig for you.
ABOUT RAINMAKER: In the mid-to-late 90's Rainmaker performed extensively on the Central New Jersey rock club circuit (Stone Pony, Club Bene, Birch Hill, etc.). Our 12 song hard rock CD, "The Wreck of the Powhatan and other Tales", was completed just prior to the band's breaking up at the end of 1999. We presently rehearse in professional studio space in the New Brunswick area on Wednesday nights from 8 PM to 10 PM, with additional rehearsal time TBD as needed.
